Loaded into Africa's largest Reverse Flow Smoker. Hardwood lit, dampers set, the smoke begins its long, even travel.

Low and indirect. The meat drinks hardwood smoke for hours, building the pink ring that proves the pit was real.

FROM A BACKYARD
DREAM TO AFRICA'S LARGEST SMOKER

In 2018, three visionaries, Thabiso, Nelly and Thando Shoba, turned a fascination with American BBQ into an obsession. Today their custom-built reverse flow smoker stands as the biggest in Africa, slow-smoking meats for 12 to 14 hours over hardwood in the heart of Middelburg.
